BAY AREA DOLL CLUB OF TEXAS

Specialty Saturdays

Becca's will offer a wide selection of Specialty Saturday classes, outside of the regular classes, in order to provide the opportunity to explore new products and make lovely gifts for yourself or loved ones.  Start planning special items now for your favorite people for birthdays or even Christmas.  During each class, different techniques and step-by-step instructions for the featured project will be provided.  Some of our specialty classes will be the lithopanes, hat making, shoe making, wig making, Doll in large egg, Doll Trunk, and many many more.  Some of these classes may take more than one Saturday afternoon.  Contact us for more information.

By request of many, we are starting a costuming class on certain Saturday afternoons.    Please call for further details and note the dates through this years.  Pattern is your choice.

New Techniques

There is a new technique for applying washes on modern dolls, called a tint rather than a wash.  Stop by the shop for a tech sheet.

Seeley's has a new DDP Eye Worksheet done by Carla Snels that is wonderful for any color of eye you can imagine, and step by step directions for the perfect eyes.  Seeley's also has an "Eye" Tile so that you can have samples of all the very best colors for eyes.

Seeley's has a fabulous new body and will be the hottest item on the market.  It is the Lady Composition Body with a fully articulated wrist, shoulders, waist, knees, and thighs.  It is the 9-1/2" lady body - LB90SP with pinned wrists or the LB90S which does not have pinned wrists.  They also have a new version with a porcelain lower arm.  Seeley's has four heads that fit this body: Stobe, EJ Jumeau, Mlle Dee and Fashion Jumeau.   Becca's also has five new heads from Collectible Doll Company that fit this wonderful new body.  They are Bru French Fashion "Mona Lisa", rare FG Fashion, S&H Margret, S&H Odalie and Kestner 6 Linnea.

Seeley's has many new and exciting products.  "Cool Cast" is a revolutionary "slip" of composition.  Learn to pour your very own compo dolls.  You can then paint and complete -all in one day.

There is also a new slip called Artist White.  Stronger than Lady White, less shrinkage, whiter, and glazed in the greenware stage.  Wonderful for half dolls, the figurines, and many other items. 

There are also quite a few new brush kits and brushes you really must try.  The new mini brush kit is a must have for small dolls, includes the new lip, detail and shader, and mini stippler, new polisher, and ultimate shaders.  Seeley's has also just introduced the Basic lip and square shader. 

Seeley's has also come out with many new small doll molds that are a must to have.   You can download the catalog from Seeley's website.  We have the greenware for all of these new molds, plus many patterns, clothes and accessories. 

Seeley's has also introduced a new series of Level I seminars.  It is called Porcelain Concepts and Becca is certified to teach these seminars.  They also have a Dolly Boot Camp business seminar they have just started for everyone wanting to learn the business. There are also more, like the Art Deco, Complexion Connection.  Watch for them on my seminar schedule.  Please call for more information.

Seeley's has a new revised price list and catalog update sheets.  If you have a catalog and would like to have these updates, they are free and available at our shop.  Also available are new full-color chip charts for Seeley's decorator line of china paints.
